Ingredients
- 4 ripe bananas, peeled and sliced
- 100g brown sugar
- 50g unsalted butter
- 60ml dark rum
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- a pinch of salt
- Ice cream for serving (optional)
Instructions
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the brown sugar to the skillet and stir until dissolved.
- Stir in the sliced bananas, cinnamon, and salt, cooking until the bananas are softened, about 3-5 minutes.
- Carefully add the dark rum and let it cook for another 2 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
- Add the vanilla extract and mix well.
- Serve warm over ice cream or enjoy on its own.
